Here's the first in hopefully many journal entries to help me keep track of projects I'm working on and I guess my general attitude in small time spans.

Current art projects

:bulletpurple: Moth acrylic painting
-finish adding details to moth's body & wings then seal painting w/modge podge spray
:bulletpurple: Night drive watercolor painting
-needs final pencil details, actual watercolor + gel pen highlights, inking
:bulletpurple: Clay moon phases hair clips
-seal w/modge podge spray, glue to bobby pins
:bulletpurple: Clay owl head
-paint

My biggest obstacles in finishing these fun projects are 1) not having a lamp and relying solely on daylight 2) not having enough time to finish these due to school, work, homework and spending time with my boyfriend and my family and 3) having so many ideas in my head they keep spilling out before previous ones are finished!

Art goals for the upcoming week

:bulletpurple: finish clay moon phases hair clips (will probably finish tomorrow lol)
:bulletpurple: continue work on moth painting
:bulletpurple: continue work on night drive painting
:bulletpurple: continue drawing in sketchbook every day

Once I finish the moth and night drive paintings I'll post them to my gallery.

Random thoughts

I've been wanting to get better at clay work so I can make jewelry and possibly sell it on etsy. I have a lot of fun, whimsical-type designs I think people would love and I may pursue this a little harder once I finish up my current projects. I also want to try my hand at modifying jackets from the thrift stores near me with painting on them, quotes, patches, buttons and pins of bands/songs/movies/shows/etc.

I told my boyfriend that and he stared at the jacket I was wearing (a huge button down denim jacket with 4 pockets and pink stitching) and I was like "What, should I modify this one because it's ugly?" and he said "Yup". I don't wanna mod any of the clothes I have, personally, because I really enjoy the nice outerwear thrift finds I have such as my ugly denim jacket, a nice denim jacket, two flannels (one dark green and black the other red and black), a camo jacket and a weird wooly oversized coat. My style is conflicted between overdecorating or leaving totally plain so I think a trip to the thrift store for a jacket or coat specifically for modifying. Maybe if I could get good enough at modding jackets I could sell them as well. Who knows?

I think sometime next week I'll sit down and do another YouTube video. Probably gonna show my art supplies so people who wonder what I typically use know what's up. Art supplies along with storage tips and stuff like that. This journal is getting pretty long and rambles so I'm gonna wrap this up.

Until next time!

KIRIBAN SET

2 min read
Since I'm reviving this page I decided to do what was popular way back in the day and set up a kiriban. If you're unaware of what a kiriban is, it's basically when a page reaches "x" amount of views, the person who catches the view gets a prize. I'm setting my kiriban at 7,777. (Lucky lucky)

Rules
:bulletpurple: I need proof so you need to screenshot the page views. Time stamp must be visible on screen as well. Upload the proof onto your dA account and tag me so I can check it out.
:bulletpurple: If nobody catches it, oh well. I'll just pick another number and we'll try again then.

Prize
:bulletpurple: Either a clean sketch of a (1) character (human or animal or anything in between) or a short story (1-3 pages double spaced) with a plot of your choosing.
:bulletpurple: Whichever prize the winner chooses, whether it be the sketch or short story, will have a PG-13 rating at the highest. I'm not gonna draw out your fetishes or violent thoughts (for free).

Depending on what time of year the kiri is caught will depend on how long it'll take for the winner to receive their prize, but it shouldn't be more than 2 weeks, 3 at the most.

Good luck everybody! I'm excited :D

So I really love deviantArt as a writing and illustration community and I've been missing that kind of thing lately. My solution? To clean up this pretty bad looking deviantArt page, submit works I'm proud of on a consistent basis (hopefully once a week) and actually talk to artists and writers I admire on here. All of the things I've submitted aside from "Rise of the Dead" have been moved to my 'Scraps' folder because most of it is old, bad or I just don't care to have it on my page anymore.

Here's what I plan to do in an easier to read format:

:bulletpurple: Add widgets/descriptions/folders to make my profile look not like garbage

:bulletpurple: Submit a piece I'm proud of at least once a week

:bulletpurple: Talk to artists and writers I admire often (comments and occasional notes)

:bulletpurple: Submit a brief journal entry once a week

Until next week!
